Elis Launches Manager Support Guidelines to Foster Inclusive Workplace Conversations
March 8th, 2025 – International Women’s Day.
As the world celebrates the social, economic, and political achievements of women, Elis is proud to mark this occasion with the launch of our Manager Support Guidelines—a vital resource designed to assist managers in navigating sensitive workplace conversations with confidence and care.

At Elis, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment where every employee feels heard and valued. A key insight from discussions at the Elis Women’s Forum highlighted the need for better guidance and resources for managers when addressing complex and personal topics with their teams.
From career development discussions to deeply personal matters such as pregnancy, bereavement, miscarriage, menopause, and mental health challenges, managers often face conversations that require sensitivity and understanding. Recognising this, the forum identified manager support as a critical area for development.
To address this, Elis has developed the Manager Support Guidelines—a comprehensive resource providing best practices, essential do’s and don’ts, and information on available support systems. These guidelines are designed to empower managers, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to support their teams effectively.

Speaking at the launch, Kim Kelly, HR Director at Elis, emphasised the importance of this initiative:
"It is our hope that this document will further help in the creation of a workplace where no one feels alone in their challenges. By equipping our managers with the necessary knowledge and tools, we aim to foster a culture of empathy, understanding, and meaningful support for all employees."
