A new European range for the food industry
With over € 1 billion in annual turnover, the food industry is the leading industrial sector in Europe. It is the largest employer in Europe, with almost 300,000 companies.
In this respect, Elis has chosen to harmonize and rationalize its range of professional clothing intended for food production. With the new Food Industry range, Elis is the only rental-maintenance company capable of offering a global offer to so many European countries.
Fruit of the work of stylists, technicians and project manager of the Elis Design Center, this collection not only meets the expectations and specificities of each market but also guarantees comfort and elegance.
This range was built according to the recommendations of DIN10524. To date, this is the only standard giving recommendations on the construction of clothing by type of activity. These activities have been classified according to three risk levels, depending on the degree of potential contamination.
- Low risk corresponds to an environment in which there is little risk of food contamination. This applies in relation to the handling of less perishable foodstuffs, such as vegetables, dehydrated, freeze-dried food, and packaged food.
- The high risk applies in relation to the handling of easily perishable, unpackaged foodstuffs.
- As for the maximum risk, it applies in relation to the handling of unpackaged, ready-to-eat and highly perishable products, in particular everything intended for immediate consumption.
